Star Wars: Legion - Droideka Painting Tutorial

Spray the model with Leadbelcher spray then tidy up with a pot of the same. Wash the entire miniature with Nuln oil. Once this is dry, drybrush the entire miniature with Leadbelcher.

Paint the Armour Panels with Balthasar Gold. Check the pictures to see which panels should be painted. Wash this with Agrax Earthshade. Once the wash is dry, drybrush with Balthasar Gold to subtly highlight the edges. Next paint the sensor lenses as well as the tips of the guns with Mephiston Red. Highlight the lenses on the bottom edge with Wild Rider Red and Paint a dot in the top corner with White Scar. Once this is dry paint 'Ardcoat over the lenses.

As i am going for a Kashyyk style forest base i covered the base with Stirland Battlemire. Once this was dry, drybrush the base with Gorthor Brown, then Drybrush lightly with Steel Legion Drab. Paint the base rim with Steel Legion Drab.

As im doing forest bases i chose to put some branches and tree trunks on various bases. Paint the wood with Mechanicus Standard Grey, then drybrush it with Administratum Grey and Celestra Grey. The leaves were then painted using Caliban Green, Highlighted with Warpstone Glow then Moot Green. FInally, Wash the entire base (sand & wood) with seraphim Sepia. This gives the ground a more muddy appearance and gives the wood a more natural grey/brown tone.
